Color Reflections, a digital printing company, has a truly insane customer appreciation party each year. Canyon Creative was asked to design the invitations. The only direction given was a theme based on campy ‘40s and ‘50s science fiction and horror movies. We created a fictional story based on “The Job from Hell” and set up a photoshoot with the owner and key employees as characters in frightening scenes from our fictional movie. We then had an artist interpret the photos into an illustration we used for a poster invitation. The poster was delivered first and a follow-up “Viewmaster” viewer (slide reel featuring the photos and party details) served as a final party reminder.
