WHAT WE DID
Strategy / Web Design / Web Development / Web App Development
This modern-day barbershop has over 140 shops nationwide. Floyd’s legacy of delivering quality cuts and styles – cost effectively – in a trendy and inviting atmosphere has set the market on fire.
Floyd’s existing website was 10 years old and needed updating. Their underwhelming brand image combined with a lack of visual harmony, led to a disjointed user experience. While the website was functional, the UX was lacking. They asked Canyon Creative to develop a website to reflect their latest rebranding efforts, add additional functions and provide an enhanced user journey. It was also important to make it simple to make revisions themselves.
We created an intuitive navigation hierarchy and solid UX strategy. Then, taking a cue from their brand style guide and working collaboratively, we designed and programmed a complex website that not only has a cool, energetic vibe, but now functions like a dream.
What impressed us most about Canyon Creative is their people and the exceptional level of care they bring to every project. Their team is not only incredibly talented but also deeply committed to understanding our brand and goals. Their collaborative approach made us feel like true partners, and their enthusiasm for our success was evident in every interaction. Web Developer Ross Cooper is truly outstanding! His expertise and unwavering commitment to his clients are nothing short of phenomenal, and working with him is an absolute pleasure. Ross embraces challenges with enthusiasm and consistently delivers creative, solution-oriented results that exceed expectations.
Floyd’s 99 Barbershop
What truly sets them apart is their attention to detail and pursuit of excellence. From the design of our new website to the seamless integration of the booking widget and the precision in their SEO strategies, every element of their work was thoughtfully crafted and executed to the highest standards.
Canyon Creative doesn’t just deliver great results—they consistently go above and beyond, ensuring every project reflects both their expertise and our brand’s unique personality. Their ability to combine creativity, technical skill, and client-focused service is what makes them truly exceptional.
We elected to employ a headless WordPress environment serving a Next.js frontend. If that sounds like greek, WordPress typically does everything from storing your data in the backend and displaying the website on the frontend in one package. But, headless WordPress decouples this turning WordPress just into your backend only. This allows you to build a modern frontend using popular frameworks like Next.js. Most enterprise level companies are operating their WordPress sites in this fashion.
With this modern tech stack in place, this allowed us to design a custom web app for booking that integrates with their third party booking and POS systems. Previously, Floyd’s had to rely on an off-the-shelf embedded booking widget from their provider which was a poor experience. With our widget, we were able to tailor the experience specifically for Floyds. Visitors can easily schedule appointments based on location, specific stylist, date and time. Also access their accounts and easily rebook previous appointments or cancel within a few clicks.

They can also check out the Look Book, listen to music on Floyd’s 99 Radio, find a job or franchise opportunity, listen to a podcast and more. The site is responsive across all devices and creates a smooth user experience. We also implemented SEO-friendly programming that optimizes visibility via search engines, allowing Floyd’s to target their prime demographics effectively.
